I can't do photos. I bought the malachite earrings two years ago. They are large triangular shape (I think) that fit the ear nicely. Beautiful striations. I've been collecting malachite pieces for many years; wish I had bought more before it became so popular. They actually looked better at home than on TV. I only had one pair of malachite earrings and wanted something substantial.
I could empty my bank account watching his show. I love the larger chunkier necklaces. I have a friend who's a goldsmith and he tells me how people get taken by the thousands when they buy jewelry so if I like something and it holds up, I bought it on clearance, etc. It's O.K.
I only bought one thing this year (I'm now trying to limit myself to one piece a year) is a necklace of pink agate beads. He was very honest about saying it was dyed, or something, I'm too tired to remember. I saw it on one of his late night shows. If I don't like it I'll return it for the black agate necklace I fancied. Hot pink is my color in the summer and I know I'd wear the beads. Also I had twenty dollars in spendable cash that I suspected would be taken away because I really shouldn't have had them. HSN's error.
I've bought some expensive Linea jewelry. Good costume is not cheap. My shopping is stopping; expensive dental work and car repairs!

I didn't even consider the bangles. In addition to the hefty silver ones I have I've filled a crystal bowl with bangles I've picked up over the years. I have a 5&3/4 wrist so wheneve I'd see a bangle that fit I'd buy it.

correction on my previous post - the bangles I have are in copper not bronze - just checked. And I just got the petrified wood necklace on sale. I buy these petrified wood pieces when they come down in price and this necklace has many different specimens. I don't usually buy these chunky styles but I'm wowed by so many pieces of the wood.

How can he with a straight face infer that the calsilica "mine" is closing? And because a couple of old rancheros are retiring....how about some young ones to replace them? You'd think they have social security in Mexico. Not!On 12/28/2014 Penellope said:Yes, the calsilica story is very sketchy. The "secret" inaccessible mine, just an excuse so he can claim "ignorance" about it being man made. I saw a few segments today and he seems to be much more careful about his words in discussing calsilica, but plenty of stammering to suugest deception. Yet he also suggested that you better hurry & buy it b/c it will not be around after this next year...oh boy, after wearing out the story of the Sleeping Beauty mine closing, next is the Calsilica mine-err, um, uh-facility is closing, lol!On 12/28/2014 Chi-town girl said: Jay's shows are interesting since he discusses the origin & regions that are the source of the gemstones. And he has a great rapport with hosts & customers. I still laugh when he discuss the "source" of the calsilica. ..how no one including he is allowed at the secret mexican mine, a bit squirrelly, lol. But it seems he has altered his spiel about it being mined, as we suspect it is man made. I like some of his chunky gemstone jewelry-the tigers eye, garnet, smoky quartz, variscite, leopard agate, and bumblebee. The TS was not appealing to me, but looks like a great price point. Do like the new circle pendants with enhancer bale so you can attach to beaded necklaces as well as chains or collar necklace . For those who purchased-enjoy!!!I agree about the rainbow calsilica controversy. JK seemed to have a rehearsed spiel, I saw him present the bangles twice and he repeated it practically word for word. Sketchy. He should just come out and say it's probably man made. It's been determined to contain man made pigments and plastic bonding agents. I don't trust him for this reason. Not to mention they don't discuss that some gems are compressed etc. I agree with Trix also, he really needs new designers. A six year old could do better.

The stone is FAKE & his silver work is just plain bad. Not a big fan of the man either, too full of himself. JMO he won't be around long because as he is ALWAYS saying "can't get that anymore"...! I will watch him just for entertainment when I'm working out.

I'm sure he'll go on forever or as long as he's fit to fly his own plane. His jewelry is all about the stones, not the silver work. I think his designs have improved over what they were 10 years ago. He's said he has hired some new designers. He'll repair anything he sells forever. I took a broken necklace over to his Albuquerque shop one day and before I got back home, they called to say it was ready. I don't feel that he's "full of himself" at all; he is very enthusiastic about his work. The stone is FAKE & his silver work is just plain bad. Not a big fan of the man either, too full of himself. I think he's genuine, too. He's like a big kid that really enjoys his work/hobby. He doesn't strike me as crooked like that guy on HSN. Mark Anthony, think his name is. He's swarmy. LOL
