I guess I haven't been paying attention.

I know Judith retired a while back, but I thought her DIL or some other family member was still coming on QVC for the occasional show.

I was hoping a pick up a JR watch if something caught my eye.  Other than on Ebay, are they still sold anywhere else?

I guess I'd check Ebay, you often see so many of QVC jewelry brands there...Judith R., Joan Rivers, RLM etc.

I only ever bought one Judith Ripka watch, years ago....I LOVED it and had to return it. The dang clasp always opened. I exchanged it for another, but same deal. Finally had to give up. But I still think of that beautiful watch from time to time...it was stunning. It was one of her mother of pearl faces, a softened baguette shaped watch face, a light blue jewel (you could pick from pink, blue or clear) on each end of the face. It was a beauty.

Good luck in your search!

I found it on Ebay! Pretty sure I chose the light blue stone...the center stone on each end was a color flanked by the clear ones. The mother of pearl face, which doesn't photograph well here...was so pretty, it had pinks and blues that ran through it when the light shown on it, that picked up on the blue stone.

Won't let me post a pic here, says "invalid HTML" anyway...if you search: Judith Ripka Womens Wrist Watch w/date Mother of Pearl Face Diamonique NEW BATT...it should come up.

Looks kind of gray in this person's photos, but mine was pretty, lighter, brighter silver, looked much better in person...unless they gray over time. I know sometimes JR's items can have a bit of a gray cast.

@amyb, I have that watch in the blue choice. I have many, many JR watches and still love them all! The only ones I didn't care for as much were the ones that had silicone straps...they just didn't look good on me. @Tinkrbl44, ebay is a good place to find Ripka watches. Just be very careful to make sure you're getting the correct size...sometimes the listing doesn't even give the size. I recently was thrilled to find a watch I had been stalking for a long time. Got it at a great price, too!

Amyb, I was able to get a pic of that ebay watch...not sure if it's the blue or maybe the white mother of pearl. This pic looks blue but the others look white. I actually wanted the white when I bought but it was already sold out on QVC so I got the blue.

Ohhh, @pupwhipped I'm envious~love it still. You never had trouble with the clasp opening up? I had two of them and they both had issues. I just didn't want to bother to try a 3rd!

That one on ebay is only around $40 @Tinkrbl44 (if the clasp is ok)..it's a good deal. Mine was a TSV at the time, but even then I think it was around $200.00, maybe more.

It is a beauty...and that is always my favorite shape watch face. Smiley Happy

@amyb, no I haven't had problems, but to be honest, I've not worn it a tremendous amount. I just went and looked at it and the blue color is very subtle. I keep my Ripka watches in a little floor safe and at first I could not find the watch. I was beginning to freak out thinking I had lost it.....or lost my mind. 🤪 HA! Like I said, I have a lot of Ripka watches but most of them I only wear when I get really dressed up to go out...and that ain't happening all that much anymore. Woman Sad The Ripka watch I wear practically everyday and have truly gotten my money's worth out of is the one below. It is so comfortable on my wrist and I just really like it.

I never bought a Ripka watch ( because of problems stated above) but I've bought at least ten Ecclissi silver watches off EBay and I love them all. Just bought one this week for $50 (as I finally dropped another and broke the face). These are very nice watches; only possible problems are scratched crystal or needs a replacement battery. I only buy from sellers with lots of very good ratings.

Please be cautious!  I have bought 2 and after about 4 years they needed rebuilding.  I spent $100.00 to get one rebuilt, and had problems with the original screws falling out and the watch coming apart.  They're scrap now.

I will not feed money into those watches forever.

Well, this is a surprise .... I bought this exact watch on Ebay, for a decent price.  I really loved it as an every day watch.

I wore it for two weeks and it stopped working, so the seller took it back and refunded my money.  The Ebay ad I purchased it from said it had a new battery, so I didn't want to spend money trying to figure out what the real problem was.  I really liked that watch.  Darn.

@Tinkrbl44

A jewelry store thought mine needed a new battery.  Three days later I was back.  They said "faulty battery" try another.  Then to their corporate repair.  The story began there.

I'm done.  Pretty to look at.  Forget actual functioning.
