Last night I caught a Judith Ripka hour on JTV. I've never watched that channel, but while FF through to find something...anything but news I saw Judith.

High prices as usual and she was using Bella Luce (?!?) instead of Diamonique, but it all looked as beautiful as usual...just not for my lifestyle now.

Did anyone else watch her show?

I don't have cable anymore, and wouldn't know where or where else (if it's available online streaming) to find it. I've actually never gotten into JTV.

That said...I sure collected some Judith Ripka, back in the early and mid 2000's. Still love it, still wear many of the pieces...not "everyday" pieces, but many occasional, classic pieces I love still...from a cuff bracelet with Diamonique, a beautiful black onyx ring I often get a compliment on when I wear, with black onyx "convertible charm" earrings (you can take off the charm chandellier and just wear the small huggie hoop; I've worn them both ways), I sometimes will wear those with or without the ring. Diamonique scattered chain necklaces with two different enhancers...those are all my collection, everything still looks great. I still lament I could never keep a beloved watch of hers I bought 3 times, clasp never stayed closed, finally just had to return it for good...but those were beautiful (the baguette shaped face, with mother of pearl.)

Was JR on, herself presenting, @Shanus?

@amyb   At the start of the show, they showed a clip of her and I guess her daughter in law. She was sitting and really looked much older and a bit frail.

Two other women presented the jewelry. I also  have a lot of pieces I saved and do wear. I purchased some smaller pieces, chains and enhancers, a diamonique tennis bracelet, several pair of smaller earrings and a pearl and silver link necklace that I wear almost weekly.

Sadly not the same quality like years ago most things aren't returned not interested trying again. Purchased from JTV bracelet sterling silver 24grams without any plating which is what I wanted, and made in Italy, and love the bracelet never take it off. Looking for another SS bracelet not easy to find no longer wear yellow gold. No issues with JTV return went well refunded shipping.

@Shanus I haven't seen Judith for many years now.  The last that I remember seeing her on the Q she had lost a lot of weight and had some work done.  I didn't think it looked very good.

How does she look now?

I can remember anticipating her shows and "talking" about the jewelry here on the boards with other Judith fans.  She had a lot of TSVs with Lisa R as the host.

Her items were never cheap but as time went on, they became more and more expensive!  Too much for me and by then I had had enough.

I still have a lot of her pieces.  I was just looking at my JR bracelets last night and I have about twenty of them....most I almost never wear now.  I should make more of an effort to wear some.

@Shanus Yes, I wondered if she'd be on because even in the last days of her on-air presentations on QVC, that were rare, in between her daughter-in-law doing them...she looked much older then, and not as well and vibrant as she once had. Which is sad to watch...but hopefully she's ok.

Also, sad when they let the brand kind of peter out, and not be @Nana2158 as you say, the quality it once was.

I'm glad I have what I have, and I'm good, with all jewelry at this point, not really collecting anymore. All the Q lines RLM, Michael Dawkins, JR, JAI etc...were much better back in the day, or non-existent, and also way too high priced now, if they do still exist...so I enjoy what I have. Have enough variety to rotate around.

If I wanted anything new these days, I'd go to a local, family owned jeweler I've bought from back in the day, and still get repairs done with them, and watch batteries, appraisels for insurance purposes, etc. They have some beautiful jewelry...always tempted but haven't bought...just don't need more!

I collected 3 Barbara Bixby (remember her beautiful jewelry?) pieces...very ornate, but definitely I get stopped when I wear them.

@amyb  My local jeweler that I use does his own work he designsd and also has several cases of consignment jewelry. I try not to go in often since I usually find a piece of antique jewelry that hurts my VISA card.

@haddon9   Since she was shown with another young women in a clip before the show, I'm not sure when that was taken. She had her same blondish hairstyle and made up as she always looked on Q...very put together and stylish.

yes, the prices were over the top, but the few pieces i saw were very similar to what she designed for QVC. I'm not sure if she's the one designing the pieces now. She must be 80 years old.

I just consulted my buddy Google and Judith is 78. I was close.
