for those of you who enjoy black spinel there are lovely pieces on JTV today.

We had a discussion about JTV a couple months ago. Out of curiosity I ordered two items. They both were returned due to poor quality so I'm finished with them. @sunshine 919 it's nice of you to bring this to our attention in case someone else wants to try it.

Hi Kachina, sorry you had a bad experience. I hate it when I get something and it is not what I thought it would be. Do you have a favorite piece that you received and it was exactly the way you pictured it and you did a happy dance lol. I have the princess cut pink topaz ring from Michael V that looked better in person. That was one of my happy dance pieces.

@sunshine 919 Michael's TS pieces never disappoint. I have the pink and the parariba which are both gorgeous. My favorite Michael ring is an Amazonite and I got matching necklace and earrings from Jay King's last trip.

I'm not going to get into my JTV issues but suffice it to say, they are hit or miss with me.
I will say I recently ordered a wide black spinel eternity band ring and I love it. So far so good. I also have a few white zircon pieces that are fabulous. Just ordered another wider band ring Saturday.
The s/h is high and they do not refund original s/h on a return, unless the item is defective. So just be aware you are going to be out $6.99 (regular s/h) plus whatever it costs to return the item.
Most of the time you can google and find a reduced or free s/h coupon code.

JTV often has free shipping or $2.99 shipping, sign up for their emails to get the deals.

If you want some reasonably priced spinel, Liquidation Channel, now called Low Cost, has spinel days with hundreds of different pieces. Wait for those days, the online prices are not as good. I have rings from them for $10.00 and $20.00 that are excellent quality. I have had only one return with them out of 50 plus purchases. JTV is a different story. Out of six purchases, I have had stones fall out of two rings immediately. I also have a large "amethyst" solitaire that they notified me by letter later that was possibly synthetic. They couldn't tell which buyers had the real and which had the fake. This was a $100.00 ring marked down to $60.00. I ended up keeping it, but every time I wear it I realize I should have returned it.

I just bought a pink sapphire pendant in yellow gold that I'm crazy about. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Good price. The only downside for me was it was in only 10 kt, but the color saturation in the stones was very good and the stones were well matched. The only time I have ever lost stones from something I bought from them is when I lost a tiny pave white zircon from a Peruvian pink opal pendant. I'd had and worn the pendant numerous times for two years before that happened. Took it to my jeweler and they replaced it for a tiny price. I can't complain.

I own a black spinel set from JTV, too. I hope I got the real deal, because that company was involved in a huge scandal about 8 years ago almost 9 featuring a gemstone called Labradorite Andesine and the hostesses said that the gem had that reddish untreated natural color. At the end, the gem was color treated and at the time they offered a refund for the returning of it. Now the description of such gem reads: Diffused.
The new name of the Liquidation Channel is Shop LC. LC means what you said, Low Cost.
