I am so upset with JTV!

I placed an order for 2 of the same ring in different sizes. Naturally, they shipped out to me in one package. Then, after receiving them, they weren't nearly as pretty as they appeared to be on tv, so, I returned them together in the package they were received in.

A few days later, I ordered a necklace and another ring. Well, I had to return those, as well.

When my credit card statement came, I discovered that in each package returned, I was only given credit for one of the items.

I called customer service, which sounded like someone from India, and explained the situation only to be told that there was only one item in each of those packages. I asked to speak to a supervisor and again told what had happened only to be told by this supervisor that I would have to file a claim with the postal service to get my money back because obviously, the other items had been lost in transit. I asked if the package was damaged and she did not know. I think someone working in the returns dept is padding their own pockets. It's just too odd that 2 packages mailed from different post offices would end up being "damaged in transit". You would think ALL the items would be missing.

@Sapphiregal.  File a dispute with your CC company and close you JTV account.

Re: JTV Returns - Beware

@Sapphiregal  I completely agree with @Kachina624 .  I would not do business with an outfit like that.  I hope you took notes.  I would write the VP of Customer Service and the President and tell them what happened.  I would also dispute this with the credit card company.

My latest dispute with my cc company was about a hotel charge for a place we refused to overnight in because of the awful state of the room they offered.  I was on the phone to the cc company as we left the premises.  We received a full refund and I gave the dump a horrible rating on Trip Advisor.  How they had a 4* rating is completely beyond me!

Good luck.

I shop with JTV all the time and send back alot of things that I end up not liking. I have never had that issue with any of my returns, in the 20 some years I have shopped there. In fact, JTV has been, like AMZ, that quickly refunds me within in a few days of receiving it. But I have never CS called to talk in person--have always dealt with the Live Chat. One thing I always do--is make sure I document everything--and with pics too. So sorry for this snafu---have also found that USPS and UPS can mess up -----have been down that road too. Try Live Chat---- you have all the info--can't hurt

@wagirl

I've been a customer of JTV for a number of years, as well, and never had a problem like this before. Something has changed, though, in their customer service/returns dept. I think they, like so many others, are outsourcing their returns. I hate it when the person speaking has such an accent you can barely understand them and the connection is bad.

When I first called to question why I had only gotten a refund on one of the items in the package and not both, I was told that it was not unusual and they weren't processed at the same time. Made no sense to me - why would they not be processed together?

I do believe someone other than JTV is handling returns now.

I will no longer be a customer.

@Hoovermom Thank you for telling me that!  I didn't realize.  We made quite a fuss and the manager was no help at all.  There were plenty of poor reviews but the overall rating was 4*.  Shockingly undeserved.

Do you have a more reliable source for reviews?  TIA.

Never had issues with returns at JTV.   Just disliked some of their rings because the metal presence was so cheesy.

Shop LC though, had to return some items and did not recieve full refund. they were not pleasant to deal with. plus I could not remove my profile details inc. cc from their site.

Sorry that happened to you.  Getting a refund from the post office is highly unlikely.  You have no proof the packages were damaged.

I've been a Jtv customer for over 20 years.  I've only returned a handful of things in all that time but the returns went smoothly.  I'd call my credit card company if I were you.
