Hi, probably been asked before, but I have been watching some diamond shows on JTV and am contemplating the 1 carat Holiday ring that Nikki has supposedly designed.  It looks nice, in 10 carat white gold, but I am very sceptical.

I previously bought some Bella Luce earings from them and I was not impressed - after the 30 days had expired, I noticed a small stone was missing.  It is very small, not that obvious, but I was not amused, never wear them, so a complete waste of time and money.

Any thoughts on the ring,   It costs $999.99, so seems to be a good deal  ????  I could probably post a picture, but perhaps not a good idea.

JTV sells their own warranty and insurance plan called Jewel Safe. It's offered for each item and the price depends on the price of an item. I would purchase that if I were buying diamonds from them. Jewel Safe is refundable within 30 days of purchase if you decide to return the item.

Re: JTV Diamonds - Yes or No ??

I've never ordered diamonds from them because they never even look good to me on tv.  You have to be so careful with JTV because they must have the craziest cameras in the business.  Everything looks so much bigger when they are showing it.

JTV jewelry is so hit or miss.  I've had really good pieces and some really bad pieces.  I love my Bella and I've not had a problem with anything I've bought from that brand.

I think if you search this section of the forum, this question has been addressed in the past. Maybe you can find other threads doing a search?

I bought a 4 carat diamond band from JTV on markdown for around $1500.  I was shocked when I opened the box because I expected to be unimpressed.   It's gorgeous.  I imagine if I looked at the stones with a jewelry loupe there would be inclusions but to look at it, it's white and sparkly.  It can hold a candle to my other more expensive pieces.  I'm not saying all their diamonds are wonderful but I think you are safe with the higher priced items.  You can always return it.

Both my friend and myself have diamonds from JTV, they look lovely, no complaints.

No for me because of their return policy...I can't see paying for an item and it is only covered for 30 days. Some of the jewelry pieces are expensive and should come with better guarantees/warranties without having to purchase them.

I would want to know the 4 c’s of a diamond I bought. If they do not tell you I would not buy. At the very least I would show it to a jeweler before the 30 day return policy is up.

Re: JTV Diamonds - Yes or No ??

Hi, thanks for your replies.  We are in the Xmas return policy (until the end of Jan 2019) so I suppose that is a plus.

You are right, Jewel22, I don't believe they give the actual grade/clarity of the diamonds. There was one review, and it was a 5-star review at a higher price.

Ummmm - still thinking - they give free shipping and no tax for my State - so I guess I only have $6.99 return postage to lose !!!

Re: JTV Diamonds - Yes or No ??

Other than the caret weight for any diamond I ever would consider buying from anywhere, I would need to know the color and the clarity. All important. As well as the cut. There is a difference between a good cut stone and a mediocre cut stone. A well cut stone will enhance the stone and its brilliance.

If that information is not given - you just do not know the quality period.  And, any stone can sparkle and shine on TV, or in jewelry stores with all their lighting they use.

It is is important to know exactly what you are paying for, especially in diamonds and precious gemstones.
