JR Onyx cleaning?

I read onyx is poreous so using any chemicals is not recommend. My recent purchases of Monaco ring and Eclipse pieces, the stones have almost a film on the stone. What would you use to clean this? Figured in our group, we have many jewerly experts! Smile
