All I can say on this piece is WOW! I purchased as a replacement for the not so wonderful pearl and adventurine necklace...I know it is nothing like that other necklace, but I was looking for a somewhat funky pearl necklace and this fits the bill and then some!!!

It has the most gorgeous flattened baroque pearls. They are not coin pearls but look more like a smooshed baroque, kind of like a keshi, but fuller. I will try to post some pictures.

The pearls are solidly knotted in between each. They are all somewhat different in size and shape, however, they are absolutely perfectly matched. The luster on these is incredible and the sheen cast is dreamy. I have a thin neck and this one sits at a 16" length (not sure of the actual measurement). Because the pearls have been so thoughtfully placed, there is a correct way to wear this one. If worn incorrectly, the pearls flip. If worn correctly, they really don't, although there is movement...just no flipping. The toggle with sapphire end caps is the best toggle I have seen her do...and I have quite a large Ripka collection. The O ring is large, however, I have found all of my clip-ons (both JRQ and JR2) work on this piece. It looks best with a larger clip-on.

For the price, it was under $300, this is a gorgeous necklace that I will wear often. And if I feel like really playing it funky, I can attach the new TSV pearls and twist the three strands together to make it unique (using the extra links and chain of course).

Ladies this one is a definite keeper and my Valentines present to myself!!!

And for some reason, I cannot edit my original post...but I want to add that these have a very organic feel to them. These are definitely not your grandmother's fuddy duddy old pearls!

I'm not normally a fan of baroque pearls but I keep looking at this necklace. The toggle is beautiful and I love the shorter length. Something about this one is calling my name.

I can't see your photos Smarty.

I've posted them on that other very friendly forum, so maybe you could look for them there PMP? They really are all that and then some.

Jan, the sapphires on the end caps are a beautiful bright blue ceylon color...not black, dark or inky at all.

Peppermint P, this strand hits me slightly longer than a normal 16", but not nearly as long as an 18" would. The shape of the pearls likely accounts for the way it hangs.

ETA: one additional commentary...I'm not sure how QVC prices particular pieces of jewelry, but this piece seems to me to be an exceptional value for the quality and size of the pearls, as well as the substantial silver on the piece. I own many Ripka bracelets that were priced in this range, for instance.

I am glad you love the look of your "replacement" pearls, Smarty. I hope I will get to see the pictures of it on JSMB's blog one day soon!
