I just received the pearl and adventurine necklace, J 288846. It is a stunning piece, however, much too large a pearl size for me to wear. It is a heavy necklace, not lightweight at all. The beads are lovely, although not as dark as pictured on the website. The pearls are the story on this one...some measure out at slightly longer than 2". I have never seen pearls this large before. Some of the pearls are more modest in size, maybe around 12 mm semi rounds, and they are mixed with the flame style. I think I would have preferred the semi round baroques to the flamers on this one. It is lovely, but it's going back.

Because this piece didn't really work for me, I ordered this one instead, and I'm hoping it does:J289235

Hi, Smarty. Well, that's strange. I can see that picture that you posted on this thread, but none of the pics on the other threads.

I know what you are saying about the size of the pearls. While I think I could get away with (and love) the necklace you returned, as there is silver chain link between the gems, my body frame was overwhelmed by the very large (yet very beautiful) continuous baroque pearls in the 36" necklace. I had to return it, sadly. What fabulous hunks of pearls, but they were so much larger than 11.5 mm size stated in the online description.

Hope the new strand of baroque pearls works much better for you.

Smarty - I'm sorry the neck didn't 'work'. I can't believe the size of those pearls! I would think they wouldn't work for almost everyone.....but love the replacement neck. That barrel toggle clasp is darling. I just hope they stay flat. They look a lot like a coin pearl neck I have. It's a beauty but I always have trouble with them wanting to flip and sit on their sides. We'll see when you get it I suppose.

Be sure to review....

Thanks Jersey and Jan...and so strange on the photos...I used the cut and paste method, just like in the other posts...oh well. The new necklace should be here by Tuesday! It has no reviews yet, but looks great on the video. At almost half the price, I think it's worth a try!

Hi smarty, I have J289235 and have posted my review. It is a beautiful strand of baroques. A note of caution though, not all enhancers go through the toggle O ring as it is quite thick and substantial. I can get a couple through and wear it with or without enhancers. I got a second strand to give as a gift but the toggle on that one came apart and the pearls were also knotted poorly. So check your strand carefully when you receive it. I love mine and wear it often. The luster on these pearls is unbelievable. If you are baroque pearl lover, you will love these. Please post back and let us know how you like it. .

Smarty _ So glad to read your review! I bought the same item & could not return it fast enough. I wanted to write a review, but we were in the grip of the aftermath of a huge ice storm & we had no power, no internet, no telephone, nothing!!! We finally are online again & I will write a review today.

Glitter, seems we are of like mind!

Anisha, I absolutely will let you know. I love baroque pearls, and I don't mind at all when they flip around (coin style) because that's just how they are. I don't think I would wear an enhancer with this necklace, but I think I do have a few that might work...including the large fleur de lis with the pearl dangle, and the large smokey heart from the silk magnetic necklace. Sorry I don't have item numbers for those oldies. I can't wait to receive mine!
