Issac Watches and the battery

Just received my new Issac ceramic watch and it is beautful.  The info packet says when the battery needs changing, it should be sent back to the company.  I have always taken my watches to my local jeweler to change batteries.  Any thoughts on this???

I took mine to my local jeweler. He changed the battery and put in a fresh seal gasket for $15.

I have found that some of the "$5 battery places" will not work on a "fine" watch because of liability.

It's not that the watch is "fine", because it's not.  It is however ceramic and many of the minimum wage types working in kiosks are not adept at working with it.  Best to take it to a good local independent jeweler where it will be no problem at all.  Don't send it back to the manufacturer.

I wouldn't send it back either but like others, I wouldn't take it to a mall kiosk.  Actually, I've never taken any of my watches to a mall kiosk for a battery change whether the watch was good or just a fashion piece.

I take all of my stuff to a locally owned jeweler and he changes my batteries for $6.00.  If he's not busy, he will often clean them for me for free as well.
