I did, too. I'd never heard of Jay King before, but I love apatite and that necklace was stunning. I saw the hosts wearing it the day before it went up and thought that I'd only buy if it was under $100, which I was positive it wouldn't be. And with the earrings? Wow. HSN is knocking it out of the park with their birthday month specials.

I wish he'd discuss the item specifics BEFORE he started on that stuff, though. I was trying to get details about the size of the apatite necklace during his first TS presentation and had to sit through over 5 minutes of the story of the mine and the how the stones were polished before he even mentioned the 2" extender at the back, which was the information I needed to complete my purchase. Tell me the details I NEED to know, then talk to me about the story of the stones and the artistry. It was late and I needed to get to bed.

Yes, I have a huge collection of Mine Finds from Jay King.  Some pieces I buy for the stone (Australian pink opal, and precious opal); others I buy for the look/color/texture.  I always read the fine print, and decide if I like the piece enough to buy - even if it is compressed, color-enhanced or whatever.  Like shopping anywhere, you have to pick and choose.  BTW, the customer service from his company, Desert Rose Trading, is fantastic.
