@Kachina624   That lady does look very sweet and gentle. My grandmother had that look, but she was pistol! A Scorpio and few

dared to cross her. She could be sweet, but watchout.

Gathering of Nations would be so fantastic, but I'm not planning on flying anytime soon. My oldest daughter would absolutely love it, but she doesn't fly.

Two of us have too many health issues to travel. Smiley Sad

As for the dolls, maybe 20 years ago, I would have been interested in making them. I just don't have that creative spark anymore and needlework is difficult now, with arthritis in my hands.

@MacDuFF.  How would you wear it?  You have such great fashion sense.

@Kachina624

Here are a few pictures from  one of our last powwows. IMG_1387z.jpgThese are two of my great grand daughters, cousins. The jingle dress on the left is the one that I made and I purchased the pink Minnetonka moccasins.She is wearing a concho belt.

  The dress on the right was made by my daughter for her grand daughter. She made a similar dress for her younger grand daughter. She also made the moccasins.

  Here is my oldest great grand daughter with Nanny (me).  My skirt was made by a native designer in Canada and my moccasins were made by the Huron in Quebec,

where my ancestors were from.

  At our Northeast powwows, I do not wear turquoise jewelry. The pendant and bracelet are made from wampum (quahog) shells. The earrings are sweetgrass,

porcupine quills and seed beads, made by a very talented lady.

@Franklinbell  You are welcome. We so enjoyed the powwows.

  I hope they start having them nearby, again this summer.

@Enufstuff @If I owned a dress with the tassels ( that's what they look like) I would walk with a whole new step! So cute! I really enjoyed your photos. I hope you can go again with your family and share more fantastic photos!

@Kachina624 what a fabulous and unique piece of wearable art!

I'd definitely wear it with jeans or a dress. I have a linen turquoise colored dress that I bought from JJill years ago. It's one of my favorite go to dresses for summer. With the coral and turquoise, I think it would be a great combination. LOL I have some earrings that I bought from Michael V that are silver, turquoise & coral beads.
