I noticed some 'new' Barbara Bixby items

are listed.   I think I've seen these before so don't  understand why qvc is listing them as 'new'.   Nice items.

I saw them as well.  Perhaps they are reordered items with a different price...that's all I could think of.

@newjersey   I remember Bixby's items as being very busy.  I didn't buy any even when I was buying far, far too much jewelry.  In today's world where clean and simple seems to rule, I wouldn't buy anything even close to what I recall.

Similar or old, who is her market now?  Not me even for gifts.

One of my close friends called me 'classic' a few weeks ago and it made me think . . . then I decided that she is right! I too prefer clean lines, the Bixby line to me is fussier than I would wear. I step out of that mold with my Apple watch bands! LOL!!!

@DrakesMomma I'm pretty sure this is the case.  They may also have different item numbers than originally.  I didn't expect them to be adding any new stock since her items aren't shown on air any more, at least not that I am aware of.

Re: I noticed some 'new' Barbara Bixby items

@newjersey - We all have very different tastes in jewelry.  I have always liked Barbara's jewelry-making style, and I have several of her items. I am not drawn to her skulls, but I loved her lotus flower, fairy, heart and astrological designs. I still very much like and enjoy wearing my Barbara Bixby pieces. Barbara's pieces do not look like any other designer's jewelry, and that, to me, makes them particularly special. Barbara's designs are more elaborate than most other designers', which does not appeal to everyone, of course, but many of her items did and do appeal to me.

I wore her butterfly fairy pendant on one of her longer chains with silver floral detail stations and carved and oxidized links to an art gallery, and I was asked by an artist/co-owner at that gallery if my necklace was custom made.

To each their own. I don't care what the current jewelry fashion trends are. I wear what appeals to and looks good on me.

That's interesting.  I like Barbara Bixby's designs and own several of her pieces.  Her line is very beautiful and understandably not for everyone.  I took a look and while her prices were always on the high side, wow, some of the pieces now are crazy expensive.  Happy I purchased years ago.

I have some Bixby jewelry, which I never wear.  I looked at the new items out of curiosity and discovered they had no appeal for me whatsoever.

I see some pieces I'd not seen before, though since I haven't checked on her line in a while, I have no idea if they're new or not. Some pretty things, but nothing I'm likely to decide to bring home.

Re: I noticed some 'new' Barbara Bixby items

At one point,  I thought some of her stuff was kind of pretty, but way too spendy for me.  Some of the things have never been marked down or put on clearance & I haven't seen her present her items on QVC in years.  It seems odd that they've had these things all these years, never present them & the prices never change.  You'd think they'd want to move them out & be done with it.  I wonder what the deal is?
