I may be finished with Firelight Diamond, especially their earrings. I have three pairs of the hoops....had trouble with the little push and release clasp onone.....studs with screw backs, two carat weights.....posts so thick they irritate the bejeebers out of my ear. Powered through, but screws don't thread up far enough to keep earring pointed forward unless you have very thick earlobes. Latest, waited forever for  little hoops with diamond centered forward.......post of those that pushes straight into back and clicks. Nope, one off center enough won't click in unless you mess with it for 10 min.  Returned to see what I get. It just seems there's an issue with most of them. Over it. Please don't tell me to go to Facebook; don't do Facebook and won't. Just tired, for the price of these items, of the hassle and problems when there shouldn't be. Which is sad, because I do like everything I've received. And customer service if of minimal help....also, I don't believe for one minute that vendors and item reps don't read the comments on the boards. Wouldn't you.😄. So maybe they'll see this, who knows...🤔🤔

Fire Light Diamond Jewelry is manufactured by different vendors and in different countries. I suggest you keep track of the maker's marks on the pieces you bought and returned so that if you see Affinity Gems or another jewelry collection from those manufacturers you can know not to purchase.

Another tip: If you're going to leave a customer review on this message board, please give the item number or upload a photograph. Otherwise we don't know what you're talking about.

Don't feel it's necessary for me to list each item to which I was referring when making general comments. The words "studs" and hoops with push clasp". Should be sufficient for general clarification on purchases. Also keeping track of countries is way too much hassle. Just not purchasing makes more sense to me.  But thanks for your helpful suggestions.

Dodies. I don't blame you for being done. Lab grown stones are flooding the market. The cost of them are coming down very fast. I've looked at some lab pieces and the quality of the settings is also coming down. They're now being set in silver and gold plated. Yes, some are set in 14 kt, 18 kt and platinum. I do think QVC is charging way too much for these lab created pieces. You can probably buy a pair of nice 14 kt gold lab studs at a private jeweler for less than half of what QVC is charging. You can try them on to make sure they're comfortable right there and you won't have to pay shipping to get them to you and then shipping to send them back if they don't work out.

I so agree about lab grown diamonds.  More often then not, they're on silver and layered gold..  Some fine jewelry stores will not accept lab grown diamonds. Our local jewelry store won't.  Germ Shopping which always sell only fine jewelry (no gold over anything, or silver) refuses to sell any lab grown diamonds or gem stones or  Moissanite which is always lab grown..  The few silver it sells is only on authentic Native American gems.

I've ordered silver piece with lab grown diamonds when they first show up at qvc. The item was horrendous quality and went back immediately. I never ordered anything after that, no lab grown.

None of our jewelry stores will touch lab grown diamonds.  Yes, most are set in gold layered over silver.  The prices have tumbled down a great deal. Some folks have priced them as equal to Moissanite.  Which is not much.  That is  lab grown too.  The cheapest of the cheap are lab grown color gem stone. So you can get real sapphires and ruby, but they are usually trimmed with white topaz instead of diamonds and set in silver or brass or bronze.

Our jeweler, very reputable on the eastern seaboard, accepts lab diamonds only set in 14k and from one trusted vendor. Customers had been asking for them so he set quality control the way that he could. They sell out repeatedly.

They've brought down the cost of mined-from-the-earth diamond jewelry, which is a benefit to the customer.

Maybe this will help, I put my earring post in Vaseline first then thread thru my ear, no pain whatsoever.  I thought I was going to have the post replaced as I bought mine lab diamonds on shop hq in 14k gold for a steal when they were going out of business.
