I got the 14K gold heart necklace Kelly Ripa wears daily

I Googled and found the tiny gold heart necklace Kelly Ripa wears each day on the show. It was supposed to be from my boys for Mother's Day since they never know what to get me. Anyway, I ordered it and opened it yesterday. OMG - tiny, tiny, tiny. Very sparkly chain (15-1/2" which I like), but obviously also very thin. I have a very small neck, so wanted something delicate to wear around the house each day, but did expect a little more for the considerable cost. ($225 - yikes).

It was unbelievably beautifully packaged in several boxes/envelopes/tissue/ribbons along with a personally addressed thank you note to me from the designers.

For some crazy reason I think I am going to keep it even though the cost is beyond ridiculous. It says the heart is solid gold, but it's seriously the size of a peppercorn. My 18 y/o son said it looks like a necklace only big enough for an ant. Ugh.

I am telling myself it will be to signify my last few months as a full-time mom since my 'baby' heads off to college this August, and I'm left with the empty nest...!

Shame on me! It is really cute, but small like I said. Check it out on Kelly. It was very easy to see this morning actually because she had a V-neck shirt. She always wears it along with a bit longer sideways cross necklace also for a layered look. I think I also read that Sarah Jessica Parker wears the heart daily, too. (I just love hearts -- hence my screen name -- it has nothing to do with what celebs wear! My diamond engagement ring is a heart shaped stone, too!)
