Thanks. I broke out my tool box back in November to get mine changed. I will have to look today to see if the above instructions work for me now that I pretty much just yanked it out last time. LOL

I am glad it worked out for you ev255 and that I was not the only one that was stumped. Lavenderjunkie thank you for the explanation for properly setting the date function. I often had trouble with the date not displaying properly after a couple of days and can see now what I was doing wrong. It was not the fault of the watch!
I need to print that section out so I remember it next time!

You are welcome. It took me many years until I 'understood' these things about watches... screwed down crowns, setting the date, how to set/wind automatic watches. Glad to pass on the info that others shared with me. We are not born knowing this stuff and they don't teach it in schools.
