I've stored my Honora pearls in little plastic ziploc bags for several years and have just recently found out that, apparently, it's a bad idea to do so. Since all of my Honora pieces are done in sterling silver, I've stored them in plastic bags, along with an anti-tarnish strip, to keep the silver from tarnishing--not realizing that this was not good for the pearls. How do all of you store your pearls? Would something like one of Lori Grenier's silver safekeepers (the one I'm looking at is item # H164598) be all right to keep pearls in? The only thing I wonder about with this item, or with any of the anti-tarnish jewelry containers sold on QVC, is whether the plastic used in the individual pockets would be just as harmful as the ziploc plastic bags. Thanks for any advice on this.
