How does Judith Ripka's gold clad hold up?

I've been disappointed in other vendors when the gold wears off. Judith's pieces are so expensive to begin with and then there is the premium for clad. I love the look but am leary of spending so much only to have it wear off. Has anyone had any of her clad pieces long enough to know how they wear? Do you wear them often or only once in a while? Thanks for your help with this. I'm on the fence about purchasing some of her clad pieces.
