I remember the day when QVC didn't want the hosts to wear colored nail polish. I guess they've thrown in the towel. One thing about these nails, they sure get people to pay attention.

Lately, its like the hosts are in a competition for the most distracting nails. Each is worse than the last. One-up- manship, I guess. Just wait until the flowers blossom.

Don't expect the nail hyper-art to go away anytime soon. Remember, QVC is now all about what's hot on social media, and what all the Influencers and their millions of followers are doing.
The trend for quite a while is exaggerated nail art. Celebrities have come out with their own nail art line, just like the ones that have their own makeup brand. The more unique/different/artistic the design is, the more views it gets. It's a huge business, not just a personal preference.
So it may be jarring to some viewers to see jazzed up nails up close when presenting items on air, but it's not going away, at least not for a while yet. It's what's current -- like it or not.
Leah's nails are gorgeous, they are my preferred look also. But Leah is not the example of a host who's current with social media, or utilizing it to ts fullest. She does what she's comfortable with and that's good enough for her. That would be me too.
But it's the business of QVC -- they obviously encourage the fancy nail designs.

@phoenixbrd wrote:@ValuSkr That was my impression also. I respect choice.... not appropriate in a professional environment, but do what you like on your own time. To me personally, it looks like an illness...something is erupting. Just my opinion and I support her right to wear what she wants.

Glad you mentioned that .... if a presentation is going to have close-ups of the presenter's hands I think the nails should be neutral, clean and not attract attention. The PRODUCT is supposed to be the focal point, not the presenter! Very unprofessional.
When I was a kid I recall my grandfather working on building a new dog house. He accidentally hit his finger with the hammer and the whole nail got black and ugly. Ever since then I have thought that dark weird colors look like an infection .... and not the least bit flattering. Ugh.

@Caaareful Shopper I've always been a fan of Leah's
I think she's a real class act.
She has some of the most beautiful hands on QVC.
I've never understood why I never see her doing the jewelry.
Now some would say, "Maybe SHE doesn't want to do them".
But come on! She's a professional and if they wanted her to do them, I'm sure she would.

@Luvsmyfam I like Shawn too. I know they are all sales people and they all have their own shtick, but under that I think she's a good person.
