Herringbone necklaces.....are they 'old-fashioned'??

I used to have a thick heavy herringbone necklace and I have no idea what happened to it. I've been thinking about getting another one because I really liked it. The Q hasn't sold them in a while, wonder why?

Are they a thing of the past?

I sold mine a few years ago simply due to having to store it properly so that it wouldn't kink. Mine was a heavy and thick as well, never had any problems but always felt I had to baby it.

If you are able to find one and you like it go for it! It's a classic.

I like them. Old fashioned or not, and I don't think they are, doesn't matter to me.

Nancy had one on her late night silver show not to long ago. She said that although they haven't been seen in awhile that they are still fashionable. I've always thought that they were beautiful, like liquid almost, and I wear mine whenever I remember it.{#emotions_dlg.blush}

You don't see gold herringbones because a herringbone is a solid link style. I think it's been a long time since we've seen a true omega, too. Most of the 'omegas' pushed on us are simply some sort of gold cord.

I still love mine and still wear it but i am not driven by wearing only the trends.

I don't care- I wear mine whenever it looks nice on my clothes.

I have a gold and a silver one from years ago; they are solid and heavy. You probably won't see QVC offering any in the near future because they would be too expensive these days or if they were affordable they would be paper light. I don't think it's a fashion thing, I think it's an expense thing. Also, they are a bit of a pill to store since they kink so easily.

You can find lots for sale at the bay. If you look how many sold, you will see they are either passe or the people were looking for the cash for gold. I had 6 now have none.

I don't think they are popular in terms of selling them, I haven't see one sold for a while. But jewelry never goes out of style, I wear my big silver Herringbone fairly often. I love the boldness.
