I don't know how to post a link but for those interested the shop and offices burned to the ground. We always stay at the KOA across the street when we go visit. It was a beautiful place. Just search Herkimer Diamond Mines. What a loss.

I wonder if the same business as that owned by Deb who presents these crystals on HSN?

Deb owns her own studio and she has a website.. The Herkimer Diamond Mines are owned by Dr. Renee Scialdo Shevat.  Fortunately none of the mines were damaged.

They were selling this jewelry on HSN tonight and someone called in about the fire.  They said that people could still visit and they were open but apparently they had not been able to get back in the building that had their museum and were unsure if any of that was recoverable.

Thanks @HOBBIT for letting us know

My husband & I finally stopped at that museum/store this year & that is such a shame the place is gone now, so many gorgeous gemstones

I was watching the show with Colleen and Deb Saturday night. They addressed this a number of times.  The fire destroyed the gift shop and museum but everything else is okay. Dr. Renee even called into the show.

The mines will be closing within the next couple of weeks as they always do for the season.

I did not realize Dr. Renee is the only female mine owner.
