Here's a table for rock hounds!

Not sure if this should be posted here or in the Home forum, as it is a picture of quite the gemstone table. I would love to own this table. It would not work well in my home presently, but it might be worth making some modifications to have something that incredible to gaze upon every single day... What do you think of this table - love it, hate it, or like it? I thought of you, first, @Kachina624, when I saw this photo online.

May be an image of lighting, living room and indoors

Here's one more: (Apparently, these geode tables are filled in with something clear so you can place objects on top of the table, yet still see the beauty of the rock's interior.) I cannot imagine how much this rock table must weigh.

@Jersey Born OMG!  I LOVE it!!!  I would however prefer citrine as it would match my decor better and it's my birthstone.  Thanks for posting, what a beautiful hunk of gemsSmiley Happy

@Jersey Born.  It's a beautiful use of a large geode.  It's a good thing they have glass or something over it because those crystals would be murder to dust.

I wonder how they get them in the house?

@catter70 - That thought occurred to me, too. I have a travertine table that is so heavy that it has wreaked havoc upon the poor area rug beneath it, even though it is a stationary table that has not moved since it was placed in that room. I cannot imagine what kind of  steel-reinforced concrete structure would need to be placed underneath to support such a heavy geode table.

@cheriere - I was just like you growing up-- I loved all rocks and gemstones, and I collected them in a small cigar box.

Glad you enjoyed looking at these dreamy geodes. I sure did!
