Help with Bronzo Italia watch losing time

I just received my Bronzo Italia watch three days ago. I love it but it loses several hours of time per day. I know this has been a problem from reading the reviews but has anyone figured out why or would a new battery help. I really don't want to send it back but I do expect a watch to keep good time. Even watches I have purchased for $25.00 kept perfect time. Thanks for any advice.
