I am shopping for a tiara for a party next month and need to fasten it to a wig I will be wearing. I have no experience with tiaras (sadly) and would like to hear which style would be best to wear on the wig.
One style has 2 combs attached
Another has holes at the ends where I think you stick a bobby pin

And the third is actually a crown (a complete circle)

These are not the actually tiaras I am choosing from. I want to narrow the search to the style that will be the least trouble at the party.
Thanks for your assistance!

Wobin, since you'll be wearing a wig anyway, I'd go for a tiara that has the combs already attached, like your example #1 does, I think that would be the most secure fit. Have fun at your party!

I am wondering where in the world one would wear a tiara

If I was going somewhere wearing a tiara, I'd wear the gaudiest one I could find.
After all, how often does one get to wear a tiara and not have people think you are insane....You go for it honey...please send pictures.

Sounds like a really fun party!!!!
One with combs attached would probably be easier, although, you could just use bobbie pins to secure it to your wig.
Whatever you choose, I hope you have a terrific time!!!

I am hosting a Royal Wedding Watch Party, that will actually be an excuse for Afternoon Tea. I am dressing as the Queen! I've got a chiffon dress and the wig, need the crown and fabulous "jewels". The tough part will be shoes, I don't have any remotely like the Queen is wearing in photos so I'll probably just wear something comfortable.

Wow, does this party sound like fun! Just wear waterproof mascara - You certainly will cry at this wedding. So young, so much in love, such a beautiful couple. One thing: don't forget your pocketbook! You can cram it full of Kleenex.

If you're the queen, then I like the third one. As long as it's not heavy, you should be able to sew it to your wig.
