Help With Round Slip-On Bangle Sizes!!

I love that Bronzo Turquoise Bracelet that was just on the Vicenza Show J296237. However, I usually have bangles that open up. This one doesn't. I have a 6" wrist and usually wear a 7" bracelet. Sometimes a 6 3/4" can be tight, depending on the design.

I am afraid if I get the small it will not go over my hand, but if I get the average, it will be way too big on my smaller wrist. Anyone have experience with QVC's sizing of these slip on bangles?

Thanks for any advice. I may just have to say no to it if it's too much confusion. I don't want to order both and get a big charge on my account I'll have to pay before I return one.

Thanks for any suggestions!!

A slip on bangle needs to go over your hand. You can use a stocking -- it will make your hand slippery.

If you're going to be fussy about how it fits after that, slip-on bangles are not for you.

Thanks ennui1...

Good suggestion with the sock... but I am worried it will fit too far down my wrist if I do the average and with my larger knuckles, I bet the small will not go over the hand. I need to watch my $$ these days anyway, especially for the things that are uncertain. I just thought it was unique and different.

Too bad it didn't have a hinge on it.

Thanks again!!

You can also get tight bangles on and off in the shower with soap. Hold your hand up in the air. After awhile I just gave up fiddling with them and only buy hinged bangles unless I can try them on.

It's the size of your hand, not the wrist that is important in selecting a bangle. Measure across your palm, then double it, then add about 1/4" and that's the size you'll need. Once I put them on, I leave them on for months, even years at a time. I've got 8 on right now.

Re: Help With Round Slip-On Bangle Sizes!!

I've given up on slip-on bangles because I like a fairly snug fit on the wrist - I have small wrists, but fairly normal sized hands so tiny bangles don't go on, even with dish soap/nylons.

QVC's hinged bangles are a much better bet for me: they're not huge on the wrist (even in average size if small isn't offered) but there's no way they'd go over my hand if they weren't hinged.

Have you posted this before? I had no idea there was a formula!

Wow... I did that and it's 7 1/4. Should have ordered the average! I have read reviews though of people who bought slip on bangles and they say the average is too big for their small wrists.

Thanks for the info. I too would love to find out where this formula came from.

My palm measures 3" across, doubled that's 6", add half an inch = 6 1/2". I don't wear bracelets that short, and I don't think they sell bangles that size.

(My wrist measures 5 3/4".)

Clover, do you add 1/2 an inch or 1/4 of an inch? Kachina said add 1/4 of an inch in her post. I have a 6" wrist. Clover, you would wear a small if that formula is correct.
