What is the NAME of this item?

Several years ago I bought a little gold "thingy" to connect the ends of my pearls when I double wrap them around my neck. The "thingy" looks like a small gold hoop earring that has "clip" that snaps shut.

I need to buy another one, but I don't know what to type in the search bar. I can't remember what the "thingy" is called.
