I have the opportunity to buy a real piece of jewelry but I have no taste due to a lack of experience. These are the two Imperial Gold chains I'm thinking about. J350215 or J335109. TIA -Magpie

I have quite a bit of very nice jewelry that I got in the islands and probably did not pay as much for each of my necklaces as you would for J350215.  If I was spending that much, I would need to see it, feel it, and try it on.  Just my opinion.  However, if it is just between these two, this is the one that I would go with.  Even though there are only two reviews, both are 5 star.  The other necklace seems to have a problem laying flat.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

Magpie4, I read the reviews for both necklaces.  For J335109 several reviewers stated that the necklace would not lay flat on the neck.   J350215 is a is a mirror bar necklace, it looks like a nice necklace but for me the cost is kind of expensive.   I know cost is relative to everyone.   My question to you is what is your style?   How do you plan on wearing the necklace?   Because if it were me I would purchase a necklace that I absolutely loved and that I could wear with blue jeans to a ball gown.   Good luck with your decision.

@magpie  I'd say you have good taste to have picked Imperial Gold.  It's classic in style and will look appropriate for years to come.  The choice of size just depends on you and whether you want to go big or a little more modest.  Your age may have something to do with it.  The young are often more cautious and choose small and dainty, while older women tend to go for the gusto.  I'd go big.  I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever you choose.

If I was going to spend $1500+ for a piece of jewelry I would go to a jewelry store and try on some necklaces to see how they look and lay.

Of the two you are considering, I think the second one could be worn with many different clothing styles and necklines. Looks like it could go dressy or casual too. But the reviews are mixed. Thus, my comment above. Good luck with whatever you pick!

I was looking for a piece that can go from jeans and a tank to a dress

If I was spending $1500+ on a necklace I would go to a jewelry store and try on different styles and sizes. You would be surprised how different various styles and lengths can look.

Theory - Buy one piece of jewelry you like and wear it like it is the most important piece of jewelry in the world.  Matchy, matchy says generic!  My jeweler!

You don't have to have just one, just treat each one like it is the ONLY one!

I got a Imperial Gold bracelet that I just bought month ago.

I adore it. Lays flat doesn't twist, etc.

I'd go with the Imperial gold.
