It all depends on where you go. Some will charge $5. My jeweler used to charge $10 but he suddenly went out of business after being in the same place for over 30 years.
I took one of my less costly watches to Walmart and it took 3 girls to get the battery in. They charged what the battery cost but they left scratches on my watch. I was so mad that I will never let them change my watch batteries again. If you don't know what you're doing just admit it. I'll understand and take it some where else that does this everyday and won't scratch my watch up.
