Gold clad

What does gold clad mean? I can find gold filled, gold plated, and gold vermeil, but not gold clad.

Hmmm I searched the Jewelry forum for "clad" and didn't get any hits, yet the following exists.

I think that explains it. It would be nice if someone from QVC would pipe up about what you mean by clad.
