Thanks! Price will be interesting.
I agree that the bottom doesn't make sense as plain amethyst, which is not exotic. Could be Uruguayan amethyst or rhodolite.
Most probably different prices per gems. Can't imagine a Tanzanite being the same price as a amethyst. Silver or not.
The Q doesn't operate that way. Each size choice will be at a different price point, but not the gemstone choices themselves.
As for tanzanite, it depends. There's a lot of A and AA quality out there. Some amethyst, like the more prized Uruguayan material with its known deep flashes of red, is more in line with the other exotic gemstone choices offered in this bracelet.
We'll see soon enough. I'm just happy for exotics in faceted gemstones in the TSV.

Gem shopping doesn't do AA or AAA. I always see them described as vivid. I have never heard them describe as AA or any kind of A. And those are in the $60,000.00 range. Those are the ones I see as deep blue with red flashes. Once an announcer called them Sapphire, but caught himself and said if it was a sapphire with that color, it would be 6 Million. I get them mixed up sometimes. Sometimes they do show the cheap light ones for around $2,000.00. But compared to the deep blue of the vivid, they look transparent. For exotic, I much prefer the Pariaba Tourmaline. Much stronger then the Tanzanite.

Of course gem shopping does AA and AAA. Toddle over to Gem Shopping Network some time.ShopHQ has done both in the past; so has QVC.
Also, while the Moh's scale talks about the hardness of a gem, that's not the only measure of durability. On Moh's, there's a hair of difference between paraiba tourmaline and tanzanite from a Moh's perspective: paraiba's at 7-7.5 roughly and tanzanite's at 7. You may enjoy reading the GIA website to broaden your knowledge of gemstones.
Here's a good article on all the factors that speak to gemstone durability:

@Sammycat1 The other day they had very high end ones and they just called them vivid. They sell a lot. Low end ones (under $3,000.00) Medium range ones and the high range ones. I don't like Tanzanite even though my passion is corundum. You would think I would like them because of the deep blue, but I don't. But Gem Shopping (I watch them a lot) have Tanzanites on all the time. Most of them are the smaller face ones in medium to medium dark blue, but the ones they have on the entire trays are usually the lighter hues. They sell those all tray Tanzanites about once a month. And they usually run around $3,000 to $4,000, Probably close to what Q and the others sell them for. Of the exotics, I do prefer the Paraiba I no longer watch TVON, but they also sold them for about that price range. the only gem stones I own are of course Sapphires (quite a few of those) rubies, yellow and pink Sapphires. Most of which I got from Gem Shopping. they all have certificates from various gem assoications. The only non conundrum I have is a Paraiba and a Rubillite. I don't count semi-precious, but I do have those. Medium range gems I love are Tourmalines.
