I understand your point but personally I find it hard to judge size by those kind of measurements @SilleeMee Oddly enough I've gotten used to the metric sizing so if they said it is a 9 millimeter, I'd be better able to judge.
I didn't buy that particular set but last year I bought some DMQ studs that were "holiday" and I was also disappointed that they were very small. Definitely something for a child or a 2nd or 3rd piercing which I don't have.
I wound up giving them to a friend's child as a gift.

I have a ruler that has both metric and inch measurements on it. How difficult can it be to measure something with a ruler? ...or lay it down in front of you next to another pair of studs to get an idea how big or small it is. @GinaV24

I keep this in my mind one inch is 25 MM, , makes it easy to figure out the rest.

Does the OP express disappointment that stud earrings aren't the size of a dime? Wouldn't the comparison be more logical next to a pencil eraser or the end of a Q-tip? That would compare bigger or smaller with the expected size of a stud earring. I don't have any earrings with a clutch back that compare favorably to a dime.
Those earrings seem to match the description and dimensions on the item page. Being "too small" (compared to a dime!) is subjective. Disappointment doesn't earn free return shipping.
Return shipping should be free in this case because a dirty box is not a subjective thing. Anyone knows that a dirty box demeans the product and eliminates it as a gift to someone. In that respect the OP should not be expected to pay for the return. QVC has to sell new products in perfect condition, if the box is part of the product's value.
@cali-girl, demand return shipping cost be waived or refunded, if you paid it already.

I agree with @SilleeMee . The description clearly tells you the small size of each earring and if you ordered, you were informed. You ordered small earrings and you got small earrings.
Btw: I looked up (google) how to convert between inches and metrics and keep that number on a note in my iPhone so I can easily convert meansurements. It isn't hard to do.

Thank you---I did receive a waiver on return postage because of the box. I have other Kathy Levine Diamonique earrings , and they were beautifully presented in a pink box that said Diamonique on the top and the earrings were enclosed in a white velvet drawstring pouch. I believe that is the quality presentation Kathy Levine would want.

Thank you for making those points, Gina

Lol, not if you grew up with metric. The whole nonsense of inches, feet, gallons etc never cease to amuse.
