Electroform Silver Jewelry - Expensive Process?

I've had my eye on these earrings since the Vicenza jewerly day http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.cm_scid.WISH.item.J157132

Jill mentions in the presentation that making jewelry with the electroform process is expensive. There are other Arte D'Argento earrings (larger) for sale that are electroform also and about $30 cheaper.

These earrings speak to me, however I'm balking at the price? What do you think of Jill's assessment - is electroform more expensive or is this sales propaganda?

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.
