@SilleeMee   They look to me like gears, inner parts of a watch or portions of a protractor. They could be replicating the dial on a camera to enlarge the photo....OR a combo of all of these.

@Shanus

I was looking around and found a jewelry designer who makes the same style of earrings and also a matching pendant. The designer calls them "Contractor Earrings" in gold which sell for over $3800 and they are sold out.

Re: Earring design...??

[ Edited ]

@SilleeMee   Very industrial looking, right? I had read that bigger earrings are making a comback. Why? Dainty jewelry has been "in" for years and people weren't adding to their collection. Change the style and hopefully women will want the "new". Menswear is in for fall/winter and the larger earring has a more feminine vibe.  Statement necklaces and/or bolder chains and cuffs are being seen, too.

Gee whiz, in .950 or 14k+ I'd LOVE THEM and would wear them with anything short of chiffon.

This discussion is actually kind of amusing in a sad sort of way.

Are my G clef earrings offensive? Ugly? Would they be more so if they were burly BASS CLEFS instead of dainty treble?

I have at least a few sets of earrings that are keys or flowers or other readily identifiable forms.

Is this thread MATH angst?
