EARRINGS:STUDS, HOOPS OR OTHER?

I seem to reach for diamond or diamonique studs every day. Once in awhile, I wear 1” silver hoops, &12 mm peal studs. I have beautiful larger DY earrings, lg. silver lima beans from Tiffany’s, etc., but these larger, button styles seem like overkill.

What do you prefer?

I wear earrings every day of my life and have since I got my ears piereced when I was 12.  I wear all types of earrings and all sizes, depending on my outfits and sometimes just depending on how I feel that day.  I feel naked when I am not wearing earrings.

I usually wear drop earring that I make or purchase at craft fairs.  But, I have my studs in now.  When I put them in, I leave them there for a while, and I currently have a crushed thumb, and it's easier just to leave them in!  (They have screw-backs)  They're beautiful, but, with my hair, they're not as noticeable as longer, more colorful earrings.  I've been thinking of getting second holes so that I can wear these AND something fashionable at the same time.

Gold hoops are my favorite. My hair covers my ears so I'm not sure earrings show all that much.

I love earrings and have four piercings in each ear so I have hoops at the bottom, second hole are 1 ct Diamonique studs, third hole are small hoops, and the fourth at the top are small hoops with diamonds.  Each hole means something, got the first when I turned 18 (my Dad wouldn't  let me get piercings).  Second hole the birth of first son.  Third hole the birth of second son and the fourth, the passing of my parents (and the hardest to heal because it was cartlidge, took over a year to finally not feel sore).... worth it though, because I LOVE my earrings, love all the styles even the larger buttons and wear them arranged differently at different times.... Woman LOLHeart

Dangly drops are my favorite.  Things with movement - swingy.  No posts - just wires, lever backs, that kind of thing.

I'll wear hoops, too - I like them tapered or faceted or something other than just hoops.  I just got some cool rose plated stainless huggie hoops that are fun.

I like gemstones in the earrings, but it's not required.

My piercings are not even (what do you expect from ice cubes and a sewing needle without Mom's permission?) so I think it looks better on me, than studs.  Plus I just find studs boring (for me) and I feel like Frankenstein.

I have a wide variety of earrings: diamonique, studs, dangling, pearls, etc. But on any given day, I'm wearing hoop earrings.

Re: EARRINGS:STUDS, HOOPS OR OTHER?

@Q4u  I have a question for you regarding your cartilage piercing:

I JUST took mine out after 5 months because it's still sore and I now have a lump on either side of the holes. The hoop that was in it came out (it was an endless hoop) and when I took it out to clean...I can't see ANY hole to put a stud in so...I gave up.

Is the healing so long normal? Should I go now and attempt to put a stud in (took it out this morning)? Why does no one talk about the length of time it takes to heal? Did you get these lumps?

SORRY @Shanus for going off topic of your thread but I don't know anyone in my "real" life who has dealt with this, lol!!!
