Finally made the break and will no longer be ordering anything from the Diamonique line. I've tried to like what I see. I've ordered things to update my options in my jewelry box only to time after time return what I buy.  I compare my new purchases to items I bought 20 years ago and the new item is so cheaply made now its embarrassing. The silver is awful and the stones look soooo fake. Plus I think their carat sizing is off. I just ordered a 2.30 round center stone ring. When I pllaced it against a 2 carat round I already had....the 2 carat looked bigger. Plus the newer Diamonique looked like glass. The vintage Diamonique looked real. So sad the quality has gone down the tubes.

I have been delighted with my Bella Luce purchases from JTV, get tons of compliments, settings are unique too. Prices are very reasonable too.

Re: Done with Diamonique

I’ve ordered and ordered, hoping to see anything that looks real but everything looks so fake. QVC bought the company that was the largest maker of CZ years and years ago (Ceres Corporation of Waltham MA, which became MSB Industries of New York City)  and that’s how they made such great looking CZ in the past. There’s a chemical formula and process that was used. They could easily go back to their old CZ process but I think the newer CZ process is less expensive for them to produce and yields higher profits. I guess their thinking is that as older customers age out as buyers, younger, newer, customers won’t know any different. They will just accept glassy CZ as what CZ is supposed to be. I don’t mind many of the new designs. I like a mix of traditional and trendy pieces in my jewelry wardrobe.

Diamonique is the brand name used by television shopping network ...for their cubic zirconia simulated colorless diamond, simulated colored diamond, and simulated colored gemstone jewelry (cubic zirconia is a common type of gemstone substitute).[1] QVC acquired the manufacturing facilities, proprietary technology and trade name rights from MSB Industries, Inc. in 1988.[2][3] Starting in April 2001, QVC began a limited distribution of Diamonique jewelry at  T...get retail locations.[4] In the 1990s, Diamonique jewelry made up approximately 5% of QVC's sales,[5] yet as of 2017 sales have declined.[6]”

I lost all interest in Diamonique or any other CZ when I received my first Moissanite piece over 10 years ago.

I agree with the OP.  The last few pieces of Dmq I've ordered were inferior.  The stones looked glassy, stones fell out of ring settings, and a 14 KT.gold ring setting was thin and flimsy.

I own a lot that I bought in the past so that's what I am wearing.  No more new purchases for me.

I keep trying to find new pieces of Diamonique that look as good or realistic as my older pieces from twenty to thirty years ago and I've been sadly disappointed. Had to return most of them. The quality is just not there. The newer stones all look phony.

Unfortunately I have to agree.  I have countless diamonique purchases from 20 plus years ago.  Earrings, rings, necklaces.  You name it.  The quality of the metals and stones was beautiful.  I  bought a three stone ring over a year ago.  Initially it looked beautiful.  I got many compliments.  I even wrote a glowing review.  One year later the gold plating has rubbed off and the metal looks like dull stainless steel, the center stone is loose, and even after cleaning just doesn’t have that sparkle.  I haven’t gotten a compliment since it turned.  When you place the new next to the old, you can definitely see the difference.  Sad.  Always adored diamonique.

The only Diamonique I still wear is a JR tennis bracelet.
