I got married at WDW. My husband bought me a Swarovski Disney Castle Pin. I have worn it a couple of times for our wedding anniversary. It's so pretty and I really treasure it.

Pins are very attractive IMO. I have an antique bar pin from the 1020's.
I wouldn't use them with a silk scarf, but I would with a cotton scarf. Pins also look nice on a blazer lapel, or on the side of your chest. It just depends on your style.

If you have many pins and for whatever reasons do not wear them, I saw a Christmas tree made out of pins in our local craft shop. I am old and don't go out much because of age and Covid. I am going to do this. I have put my thinking cap on because I would like to incorporate my silver charm bracelets, from grade school and high school into the tree as perhaps "garland". I will think on this before I do it. Any thoughts. My daughter DOES NOT WANT any of it. It was made on a heavy board and put in a frame. There were also Christmas trees made out of seashells.

I wear sweaters at work because it is cold summer, fall, winter, and spring! I like wearing pins on sweaters, especially when I have cardigans without closures. I don't have many and have a hard time finding ones that I like enough to buy. It's great that some of you have collections.

Before I retired in 2010, I wore them on my "corporate" work clothes. Since then they've been in the jewelry box.
Last year, I bought a white denim jacket (my first) from LandsEnd and it "needed" something. I put a crystal crown pin (from Chico's) on the pocket. Looks FAB!
Since that first denim jacket, I've bought a couple from LOGO and a another from LandsEnd.
For my particular taste, Fire Mountain Gems, JCP, Chico's and Amazon have the best selections and best prices online.
Another source - thrift shops. I've found some "interesting" pieces!

@HonestLife. Yes, I do. I like a brooch on a coat or jacket.

I have several pins/brooches. Some from my grandmother and mother, silver, gold-filled or costume. I have a Trifari gold tone shamrock with a cultured pearl in the middle tfrom my Mom that I used to wear every St. Patrick's Day.
Not wearing lapels and heavy coats has reduced my pin wearing. Two of my favorites are a black enamel and goldtone salamander pin and a goldtone bow pin with a black silky tassel, both bought from Avon. Solid weight and nicely made and I always received compliments on them.
My daughter's wedding bouquet was completly fahioned of brooches and pins. I gave her a bunch from my mother's 50's and 60's fashion jewelry collection...a lot of different brightly colored flowers. My contribution was a small 14k bee with ruby eyes that I bought from a catalogue. Friends of hers and relatives of the groom donated a few and she had some from vintage stores and flea markets. It was lovely and different!
There was a museum exhibition a few years ago of past Sec of State Madeline Albright's pin/brooch collection. She was a great collector. I didn't go but the promo looked spectacular.
