Do You Wear Nice Earrings To The Beach?

I wear a pair of beat up hoops that I have usually. They are fashion so it doesnt matter what happens to them. I wear them when I get my hair done. They have so much hair dye on them and scratches. I'm only asking because I see people wear nice earrings. I couldnt do that I would be too afraid I might lose them.
