Re: Disappointing Gold Day so far

sold off lot of mine last yr when gold hit 2,000, down, now, but, not enough for me to let loose to much. LOL  Mine was bought yrs ago, and kept for many, a many yr.    can't take it with you and nobody wants or nobody I think that much of to leave too. LOL  Get that money and spend on myself I'm just replacing with lesser value stuff.

shoot I'm paying out the wazoo to insure a ring I got. It went up 30 bucks this yr.

Yes, that is a pretty bracelet at Sams. I like the two tone.

Re: Disappointing Gold Day so far

Well, I am certainly enjoying a full day dedicated to fine jewelry!!

It is such a nice way to spend the day--drooling and dreaming.

I also think many QVC shoppers have too much past history with the company--we can all remember the days of lower prices, heavier-weight gold, and so forth, and may have collections to match.

But if someone told me to pick out ten free pieces of QVC gold jewelry to take home, I could DEFINITELY do it!!

But when I have to whip out my credit card, I am much more picky and reluctant.  But yes, there are a few temptations!

So, QVC is finally offering 10 karat gold - very disappointing IMO.

Very disappointing, indeed.  Nothing at all has caught my interest.  Uninspired designs, inflated prices, no thank you.

I actually like the way the initial lies.  If you have to tilt your head to read one letter you have a problem.  I've never seen an initial necklace any other way.  What stopped me is the fine chain, it won't last very long.

I always price shop too.  I found an online retailer that offers gold jewelry at a lower price per gram than Q...even with gold hitting $2000.

Thought gold event went through January 23. They already raised the price on many items that were lower yesterday and still calling sale price.

I don't care for initial pendants, expecially like these that lay sideways, people have to tilt their heads to see what letter it is?!  Silly design, IMO.

I agree.  The letter necklaces and rings didn't impress; they looked like something out of a Cracker Jack box.  The necklace vendor said they were proud of the font they'd chosen.  What?!  They were simple block letters.  As for the rings, David Venable should have been there; he would have had fun removing them as letters sold out.
