I've always said I never met a gemstone I didn't like, and I told my husband when we were first married that gold & diamonds were always acceptable as a gift! Well I just went through all of the offerings on Gem Day to see if something caught my eye - how disappointing! With the exception of a few overpriced pieces, most of the offerings were frankly unappealing - a nice way of saying - blah! Only a couple of diamond pieces, America West on in the middle of the night, and the rest of the styles for the most part looked like were just plain ugly IMO. What's going on QVC? There used to be classic pieces of actual gems for reasonable prices. Maybe the Q is getting out of the jewelry business?

Agreed with the blah. I purchased a few pieces that were not “new”. The TSV and accompanying pieces were so bad. The shape turned me off and when the rep said you should take it off when you wash your hands and treat it like a pearl I thought why🤦🏼‍♀️

People are in hard times. We, fortunate few can order, but, most folk can't relate.

I got the American West big bold rainbow cuff. I've been watching the price to fall , it fell, I picked it up.

I think there will be a lot of returns for the TSV. I'm sure only they showed the prettiest gemstones and there will be a lot of disappointed ppl out there.

I was pleased to have an entire day on QVC dedicated to jewelry!

I do not really think anything was "ugly"--just different styles and tastes depending on designer and item.

Many folks on this forum want items "made in America,"  and featuring Generation Gems was certainly a special way of addressing this request.

There were a lot of reasonably priced items for those who may be struggling financially but still want to treat themselves.

Peyton always brings a few unique (and costly) items which are fun to see.

There are plenty of items on the website which were not featured on live television that can catch my eye!

While I didn't buy anything yesterday, I thought it was a great day on the Q.  The TSV while too big for me,I loved the information surrounding the company and look forward to hopefully seeing more from them.

I thought it was a GREAT Day for the Q.

I really thought a great change to Gem Day yesterday to see gorgeous opaques being the standouts yesterday. It saddened me to hear however this would be the last gem day this year.

Why on earth would they not have one more for the holidays?  I just don't get it. This is a real disappointment for me.

I agree.   Major snooze fest.   For the most part, the gems were cheap and ugly.  IMO.

@summergal1   Most likely they were either porous stones or ones that scratch easily.
