Re: Did Anyone Else Get Their Jay King Bracelet?

I go into buying Jay's pieces knowing they are compressed, and on a piece like this bracelet it's more of an advantage than disadvantage. Bangles take a beating as you bang them on desks, tables and things so the compressed is very hard and shouldn't chip or break. I don't buy his necklaces, pendants or other turquoise pieces as you can see the scraps that went into making them. I consider these bangles to be "fashion" jewelry. I have a nice Royston bangle that I rarely wear because it's of unstabilized, natural stone and I'm afraid of damaging it.

It is compressed. Item # 386-350. I checked several of his turquoise items and they are all compressed.

Jay's turquoise is really poor quality. They take scraps...bits and pieces and bind them together with resin then cut and polish them. If you study pictures of his work, you'll see the bits and pieces of scrap. Better to buy turquoise from a reputable seller.
