Re: David Markstein Bar Dangle Earring

@Calibeach  I always dunk my earrings in 70% iso-proplyl alcohol to sanitize them before inserting them.  Since these are all metal, you can dunk the entire upper section and push backs as well.  I don't dunk pearls or porous gemstones like turquoise, of course.  I have used a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alcohol to swab the posts on things like pearl earrings.  You can dip harder gemstones in alcohol, my Fire Light diamond studs get dunked regularly with no ill effects at all.  I would NOT advise using stuff like toothpaste (ick!) on these earrings, it is abrasive and could actually remove the gold plating, leaving the bronze exposed to tarnishing, or at least scratching and dulling the finish.  Hydrogen peroxide, often used in "first aid" treatments of small wounds, is a POWERFUL oxidant, I would not use it on jewelry either.

I am glad to hear you are going to get your Waitlist order after all, I hope you love the earrings when you get them!  I ordered a different pair of earrings a couple of days ago, and they've shipped already, UPS second day air, and I DIDN'T pay extra, so I hope your earrings also come extra-fast for your Holiday celebrations, too!
