Years ago I bought a 11/2 carat three stone Diamonique ring set in white gold. I bought my mother the same ring set in yellow gold. They sell the same ring now in silver with platinum over the silver. It is not nearly as pretty as the white gold ring that I still own. But I agree the larger stones are not for me. Two carats is the largest that I'll go. I wish they offered more in this range. Amy Stran has several Diamonique rings but some are almost 9 carats. Just not for me but they are pretty rings.

@Shelbelle wrote:Just my 2 cents but I think Bella Luce on JTV puts Diamonique to shame!!
That's why QVC is back peddling anxious to put out new products. Even Bella is better looking then the 100 cuts/120 cuts. But QVC is making an effort to improve the line. JTV took them by surprise. I just buy Bella. JTV's gold needs to be a ton better than the weak, thin, 10K gold they offer. For gold I go to Gem Shopping.

@Caaareful Shopper wrote:It seems most of the hosts live for the lives of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Beverly Hills, or wherever. They suggest/collaborate on QVC designs that are so much bigger then life and competitively huge. Some of their designs are quite nice and realistic, but those are a faint few.
Amy, Courtney, Antonella, Jane Treacy -- all designed enormous stones, or things like a tennis necklace with the equivalent of over 50 carats of diamonique. Jane Treacy mentioned over the summer that she has 35-carat diamonique ring coming. OK.
@Caaareful Shopper You are correct. Jane T. has a 35ctw diamonique ring that is absolutely enormous - looks like a snow globe on the model's finger. J403630 I guess it's meant to be totally over the top!

The word kickback implies underhanded ... and I doubt this is even possible in this type of corporation. I am guessing they must get at least a nominal commission if their name is being used. That stands to reason, IMO.

Haven't bought DMQ since the quality went down and the carats went up. I do like my believable-sized stones in a classic pendant, studs, and lever backs. I really miss the Tacori line. A host's name on a piece doesn't matter to me one way or the other. Haven't seen any I would order for a few years. Looks more like costume jewelry now to me.

@violann wrote:Just my opinion, but since I bought several BEAUTIFUL "wedding sets" about 20 years ago, I feel qualified.
ALL of them had a very decent gold presence, were 14k gold, th yellow gold examples had platinum dipped prongs, and NONE were "designed by hosts".
I don't ever buy any 14k gold any more. Flimsy, and I just am NOT the "dainty" type.
I'm a white metal gal, so I have no interest in anything yellow gold, either.
Diamonique has a major challenge .... it's an established brand that has performed well over the years, but how do they keep updating the line with "fresh new designs" every season?
Let's face it, aside from the main factors of metal and design, there's not a lot you can do with clear sparkly stones. So, they play with types ... and sizes .... and different people promoting a design or two .... and whatever else they can conjure up.
From a sales & marketing standpoint, trying to come up with something fresh and new every season ... things that would make customers buy even more of this brand ..... would give me a massive headache! LOL

I just bought Courtney Khondabi's diamonique huggie hoops...both sizes...and I love wearing them in my ears that are double pierced.
