@Enufstuff  I've noticed that when men do cook, they tend to gravitate towards cooking meat- that's great that your husband has grilling and broiling down! Linguine with clam sauce and shrimp scmapi sound delicious Smiley Happy.  Haddock is such a good fish and that is so cool that your husband and his brother go to the beach and actually get the clams themselves right from the source.  I make a really good clam chowder.

I've never had beer in beef stew- that's interesting! I do put red wine or cabernet savignon in my pot roast or stew.  I can definitely understand your thoughts about suace splatters and pans dragged across the stove top- sp;atters in particular can be a pain to clean sometimes if they dry long enough. You know what really frustrates me when I cook? Having to put away all of the dishes and pans after Smiley LOL.  I tend to use a lot of different mixing bowls for my marinades and dry rubs and different measuring cups and spoons and they really pile up in one go.  I always say that it takes hours to prepare something and minutes to eat it Smiley Wink
