Re: Colleen Lopez Ethiopian Opal Hoops

@SilleeMee @Kachina624 @gacat123

            After reading this thread last night, I ordered these gorgeous opal hoops. It has been a while since I have bought any

earrings. If they are half as beautiful as they look to be online, I

will be very happy. Thanks for posting the picture.

@SilleeMee   Yes, mine departed the UPS facility last night.  The way things are going you pray the whole trip that you'll actually get them.

   Today my Ethiopian opal earrings arrived. They are beautiful and the push lock

closure is great and easy to use. I just happened to be wearing a powder blue

Denim & Co. top, so I put them right on and they were perfect with their blue glow.

    I hope that all who purchased them, enjoy them.

Re: Colleen Lopez Ethiopian Opal Hoops

@SilleeMee

         You are very welcome. I'm surprised that you have not received your earrings yet. I ordered mine a few days after you

and Kachina did. The size is perfect; not too big, not too small.

         Since I was about 18 years old, hoops have been my go to,

favorite style of earrings. Of course, I do wear many other styles too.

         If you like a little larger hoop, with inside-outside stones,

Swarovski made some with tiny, clear Swarovski crystals. A few

years ago, on vacation in Bermuda, I spotted them in a department store. They are a little larger than 1 1/4" and less than 1/8" wide. I purchased them in rose gold tone and in silver

tone. They are well made and only anout $30. a pair.

         Perhaps Swarovski hoops can still be found online.

@Enufstuff

You would faint if you saw my hoop collection! I have so many, all kinds. Many Swarovski crystal ones, too....my favorite. Those are mostly prong-set in stainless steel which I prefer. I also have some Swarovski CZ hoops in many colors set in sterling. Amazing sparkle.

Re: Colleen Lopez Ethiopian Opal Hoops

@SilleeMee  It seems that you are my kind of girl! I only have two pairs of the larger size of Swarovski hoops. I have never counted my earrings, but I'm sure that I have more than 100

pairs of hoops and at least that many in other earring styles.

          Since I was a little girl, my two passions have been jewelry

and dancing. I still have jewelry that I've had since I was a child.

Some pieces I have given to my three daughters, two grand daughters and one great-grand daughter and daughter in law.

         In the 80's, I was a Middle Eastern dancer and I wore

some large hoops; some being tribal style with dangling gold coins and some Egyptian style. I only had one pair of 14k.

          Then in the 90's, I discovered QVC and seriously collected, 14k, 18k , sterling silver and Joan Rivers hoops

of many styles and sizes. Some with gemstones.

          Over the years, I also collected much Native American

silver and turquoise jewelry, some being hoops of  various sizes. My first pieces of Native American jewelry, I bought at

a shop at the Penobscot reservation, on Indian Island at Old Town Maine. I was probably 7 or 8 years old.

           In recent times, I have probably given more jewelry to

my girls than I have been buying. It is a hard habit to stop.

I certainly don't need any more. I do have enufstuff. But, I

didn't have a pair of opal hoops until now.
