Clip Earrings From JR

Ok Ripka ladies, help. I have been looking forever and a day for the old Ripka Tree of Life Scroll earrings in post and have not found them. I now see them over there in clip. I have never owned a pair of clip earrings in my life but I am worried if I don't get them, I may never find these earrings again.

From what I remember they were a pretty heavy earring so the clip may be good but I have never worn a pair. Will they bother my piercings?

Any advice would be appreciated.
