I use Wrights silver cream on all my sterling jewelry except turquoise stones and pearls, and amber. If you keep sterling in a plastic bag it will stay pretty tarnish free for awhile. Didn't believe it till I tried it!

I keep my silver in a case that has an anti tarnish lining, they sold it on the Q years ago, called Preserve. Also you can buy these lttle anti tarnish squares of paper on ebay or amazon and put them in plastic bags with your silver pieces or in your jewelry box or case. Of course the pieces have to be free of tarnish when you put them in with the papers.

Use Tarn X with great caution, exactly according to directions. It is very harsh and I ruined a bunch of jewelry cleaning out my mother's estate years ago. I haven't touched it since.
