Is back at SHQ now as on air guest and expert for Diamond Closeout. She has a few shows today and was on this afternoon with Erin Newburg. She looked great, and her demeanor was much more refined than before. Also, she always had a very raspy voice, maybe a smoker, but now that was gone, didnt even recognize her voice. She did a fine job.

I turned it on at the very end of the show. Was surprised to see her. She was the best host I ever came across on a shopping channel.

It's funny how we can see the same thing but have totally different opinions. Charla was horrible IMO, her loud raspy voice and overbearing personality was unwatchable along with that stupid ruler. She has also been pulled so tight and injected with fillers and botox that she looks like a cadaver. When Charla was fired, her daughter went on Facebook and slammed the company for firing her mother. Her daughter was mad because Charla was the only one who stayed and didn't quit when Karen, Kendy and Laura along with some others left the channel to start a new shopping network, what a trainwreck. I think it lasted two weeks. Kendy came crawling back. Karen was too big for her britches and was in a law suit with the channel. Now she's on the bottom feeder of shopping channels part time. Laura came back for a while and was fired a few years ago. I like Laura and I'm glad she is on HSN.

Like I said she was much more subdued today and the raspy voice and the ruler were gone !!!

Charla used to put her ruler to good use , she would use i to measure brascelets in their length, which I always appreciated, no other TV shopping host would do that, I have a small wrist and I needed to be sure of the exact length. Often they would advertise them as 7 inch and they would be 7 1/4 when they arrived.

@Shelbelle Nope, she was just slapping the desk with the ruler and she is getting louder and louder.

Saw a some of her presentations today with Kenedy. Yes, her demeanor was certainly toned down from back in the day . Am glade she gave info on the dimensions of a heart pendant. That info is important to be along with color of diamonds & clarity . Charla aslo gave info on color & clarity.

To be honest Shawn Killinger reminded me alot of Charla Rines

will have to see if shes on Diamond Closeout tonite. previous was an instant channel changer. wasn't she on with Dmitri a lot? has to be at least 15 years!

maybe they will bring Libby Floyd back. i know she a SoCal gal and hates the cold weather. but really she is much better than selling "Fashion Jewelry" on FB.
