Re: Can you tell me what stone this is in my necklace?

It could also be a garnet but I think it is olive quartz.

Does it change color in different lights (eg daylight vs fluorescent light)?  I have some diaspore jewelry that is dull rose brown in daylight and bright green under fluorescent.

If you want to sell the piece, I'm thinking, more than the stone, the value might well be, in the White Gold, if it's 14k or even 10k.

It looks like the chain, has some weight, to it.  Of course, if it's  plated, that's another story.

It's a pretty, interesting piece!

Not that I know anything, but I vote for moldavite. I've been looking at it lately because I plan to buy a few pieces with that stone. The story behind it is interesting, and the color would go well with conservative suits.

If this were a Turkish Diaspore - Zultinite, I doubt it would have been sold at a bazaar, and the cost for this 'single source' gem would have been high.

I guess an Olivine, or a yellow Mldovite.

Sorry, not used to the "new" forums.  I forgot to quote.  I was replying to Drythe, who said

so yeah, my diaspore is fake, therefore not high cost.
