Thank you all for your responses. I'm sorry this thread has gotten a bit contentious.
I should have clarified the necklace is not made of glass beads, and that it dates from 1920-1950.
Having done more online research. and having the necklace to compare to photos, I believe the stones are Chinese jade. I would need to have them lab tested using the mohs scale of density to determine whether the stones are nephrite or jadeite.

I found an image of jade beads, and there is definitely variation in the color of the beads, so who knows? Good luck finding out what type of jade it might be.

If they are Jade, find out if they are Jadeite. There is a big difference in price. Jadeite is much more expensive than Jade. Jadeite is rare. It's like finding platinum among silver.
