The 925 indicates it's set in sterling silver. It looks like jasper to me.

Pretty sure it's coffee obsidian, ATI used that stone a lot in their pieces, have had many.

Look up mahogany obsidian.  That might be it.

I vote for jasper.  Some people actually do like brown, I don't think you will have a problem with it.

I think you nailed it. It is probably coffee/mahogany obsidian!

@gardensla I think you posted the back of the pendant, if that was lettering on the right side of the pendant.  So maybe you are just showing us the backing.  What is on the reverse side?  If nothing, maybe the stone fell off and you are just showing us the backing that was glued to the frame.
